project workshop:
to start the week we had musical theatre workshop and we started the lesson by warming up by running around the room to warm up our bodies so that when we start doing our dancing/movement work. in the lesson we started to do learn about counterbalance and weight shifting. we worked in pairs to get used to using the techniques, we had to start back to back and all we were doing at first was moving slightly from back to front so at one point you are leaning on your partners back. then to make it harder we were told to lean on each others back to the point that only your feet are on the floor and the person who was carrying the other had to start to move around. then to the end of the lesson we started to get into two separate groups and we had to combine what we did in pairs to a big group which was hard at first but we then got used to it. so in my group we started by standing opposite our partner and doing our dance steps but i thought i needs to be more polished so i said to the people in my group that we should make it into a sort of like dance battle.
Image result for dance battle
so we started to add a sort of back story and i was saying that everybody should add like angry/sassy movements and attitude. so we gave each other dirty looks and act like we are better then other people/contestants. to end the lesson we showed our pieces to one and other, the other teams performance was good as they developed theirs a lot more then we did ours.

Related imageImage result for child partyto start to the day we had drama and we started the lesson by doing a exercise where we had to pretend we where getting ready for a child's party but it had to all be in mime. what i was trying to imagine is that i was in my house doing everything to get ready so i was trying to act as if i was holding the things i was using to make the cake, hang decorations and ect. looking around i was able to see what all the other people where doing and it gave me more ideas on what to do for my own we then had to act as if we were going to a party for people our age and get ready. For this i decided to pretend i was picking an outfit but i couldn't find one and then i did find one i went to brush my teeth and then got tooth paste on my outfit and then i got annoyed then changed and left my house and went to the party. we then sat with a partner then spoke about what we did for both parties and explain it in detail. so i told the person i was sitting next to that i was making balloons for the party for kids and then about the outfit crisis. we also spoke about the differences and i spoke about the amount of effort between the two with a child's party you don't care as much were as if you are going to a party with people your age you care a bit more.

ballet:
to start the lesson we had to do a thing called happy toes and naughty toes, that is where you have to point your toes and then flex to get used having them pointed out, we then went straight into talking about what we are going to be doing and learning. we then went into the different positions for ballet and our teacher showed us how to position our feet. we then stood in lines and our teacher showed us the basics of ballet, we were showed how to do demi-plea and then we were showed the positions for our arms. we went to the bars and then we were given instructions and we had to follow and dance along to them. then to end the lesson we ended up doing a basic step dance (side side back back).

project workshop:

in the lesson we started by warming up by running around the room and then freezing when our teacher claps, and then we were going around in a circle doing star jumps and running on the spot this was all to warm up our bodies so that when we start doing movement our bodies don't get fatigued. we then moved on to more movement based work, we worked on more counter balance things we did one where we were in pairs and we had to put them on our back or we had to try and make it to the floor when being back to back. we then ended the lesson by showing the class what we had done in pairs

we started the lesson by again doing the exercise where we had to flex then un-flex our feet we then spoke about what the proper dance gear was and our teacher gave us different shops to go to so we could get the outfits we need. we then went into the lesson and we started by the bar and we were showed how to properly turn on the bar. we then were given a routine (plea, plea, plea then flick forward side then back) that we had to do we first started slowly and then our teacher put on music and we had to dance with the music. we then had to turn do the routine twice then turn and do it again, at the end of the lesson we again spoke about the proper uniform to use the proper male kit is a white vest/top, black tights/bottoms, male supportive cup and ballet shoes.

Thursday 14th September:

tutorial:
in this lesson we had to go to the library for a talk on how the school library works and how we can access the school computers and how to take out books, i found this good as it helped to know where everything is.

jazz dance:
we started the lesson by going around saying our names and something about ourselves, we then did a very very very intense workout we started by running around then doing star jumps and then burpies. i found it really hard as i'm not used to doing so much dance in one week but i like it as its stepping out of my comfort zone. we then started to learn a routine which i found hard at first but then i got used to it so it became a lot easier.

musical theatre workshop:

Image result for dreamgirls movewe were told to stand in a line and then our teacher told us that we were going to be doing a dance to move from dreamgirls (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZgo9g8v76U) and i got so happy as its one of my favourite musicals. our teacher then told us that we were going to be put in groups of three and our teacher put on the song and we had to come up with a dance but there was a twist our teacher also said that we had to pretend like we were on xfactor and we had to make a sob story explaining why we should win. so when we broke into the groups i had an idea that the sob story should be a joke but we should act like we are really sad about it, we ended up coming up with our sob story to be about having fleeky eyebrows and we ended up crying and saying we had a charity about helping people with ugly eyebrows, our theme was to act really chavy and like upset at the same time. and then since our sob story was about how sad it is to have bad eyebrows we decided to make the dance also have something to do with eyebrows so it all links. i really loved performing this dance to the others as it was a fun project to do and it was also good to see what everyone else had come up with.

project workshop
Image result for abstract dancewe started the lesson by writing down a story about any journey I wrote about the time when I went to school and I opened my bad and my cat was in it. then we had to act out what we were doing in our story, so i woke up, got ready, brushed my teeth, walked to school and then found my cat and panicked. the reason why i chose to do that story was because i wanted to do something out of the ordinary and something that might have just happened to me. then we were asked to slowly make our pieces more abstract but to still keep the over all story so even thought the pieces are becoming more like dance we have to still make it look like the actions we were doing. although we had to make it abstract we had to show how we got there e.g if you're getting dressed first you would but pants and then repeat it but each time getting more and more abstract so by the end it would still look like you are putting on pants but more dance/movement. at the end of the lesson we showed our pieces to everyone. i thought mine was good as i showed the difference from just acting it out to the abstract stage, however i wanted to do more as i only showed one action which was waking up.

Tuesday 19th September

drama
at the beginning of the lesson we started by doing tongue twisters we started by doing this as it will help us pronounce our words a lot more clearly. we then acted like there was breakfast in the centre of the room and we had to eat it with really bad table manners we did this to stretch our mouths, at the end of the warm up we were given a script called Medea and we all sat in a circle and read out the page one by one and we had to start thinking about how to bring the play to life. a lot of the class had good ideas we spoke about how we would set out the play "i think Medea should be placed off stage" and then we spoke about who the people speaking might be and we all came to the conclusion that they were siblings to the main character. our teacher then split the class in half and gave us the task to come up with a short scene using the words and to think about how we wanted to stage it. my group decided to have Medea and the two kids on stage but facing back to back with the other characters so it looked there was a block between the two we then just added the words from the play into it. at the end of the lesson we showed each other the pieces we did and watching the other groups was good it was insightful to see the perspective of the other groups.

ballet
we started the lesson with our teacher talking about rules we need to follow inside the dance studio when doing ballet we spoke about how to properly use the bars. we then had to lye on the floor and put our feet up in the air then bring them to our chests then turn out, we were told this would help us turn out when we need to do the different positions. we then went over to the bars and we were told to go to the bars and do 3 demi pleas then a rise then repeat twice, i found it hard at first as i did not understand what to do because i felt like i looked weird when i was doing the pleas but then i sort of got the hang of it, then we were asked to do low kicks to the front, side, back then again side with a pointed toe. the music eventually got faster and so did we, the next thing we were asked to do was smileys and its when we rise (lift most of our feet of the floor) and put our arms in 5th and smile through the pain for how ever long we had to. To end the lesson we stood and the corner of the room and we had to do a routine from side to side where you are swapping what foot you lead with.

Image result for cat in suitcase gifin today lesson we started by going back to the dances we were doing last lesson where we were telling a story from dance we watched the videos our teacher had filmed of us so we could have a reminder of what we had previously had done and then we were told that we had to work in partners and re tell our stories but mix them together me and my partner spent the first part of the lesson sitting down and trying to figure out what to do and how we were going to combine our pieces together. we then got up and started to make the bases of a routine my partners piece was about getting ready to catch a plane then being happy on the beach and mine was about waking up getting ready then going to school but then i found my cat in my bag so we then decided to make a dance where we wake up then pack our bags, go to the airport then when we are on the beach find our cat in our bag. we then showed our pieces to everyone and the feed back we got was very good as we needed to know what we needed to do to improve.

Image result for pilates gifwe started the lesson by our teacher giving us a brief explanation on what we will be doing and we were told we were going to be doing Pilates which i thought would be fun as its something i had never done before. when we started the lesson we were told to get matts and then the year 2s came in and they were helping us get our positions right at first i liked it because it was light and easy at first because it was just leg lifts and then moving our knees but then after a while the movements got harder we had to keep our legs up in the air for long amounts of time and if out teacher saw us put them down she would get annoyed so i found it very hard as i am not physically fit, we spent the whole lessons on mats doing different types of Pilates movements we did one called backwards cycling which i liked as it helped my legs because they were hurting.

jazz dance
we stated the lesson by warming up but it felt like a work out it lasted about ten minutes and it was really intence we then started learning how to do drag runs and the whole point is you have to be low on the ground and then glide with your feet but use your arms to help you it was complicated and hard to get used to plus it made me look like an idiot so i was worried that i would look silly we then spent the rest of the learning a dance that we would perform on the 11th of October. our teacher started by teaching us the basic steps, she showed us chunks of the dance slowly but then she started going to the counts of the music and it got a lot faster but surprisingly i was able to keep up after learning the dance we were given a piece of paper and we had to write down what our goals are and then we had to evaluate our skills singing, dancing, learning coreo e.g.

musical theatre workshop
at the start of the lesson we went back to the pieces of paper and we got put into pairs and we had to tell them something we would do to help us improve i said that i would walk to school for a week to help me keep fit. we then got up and we spoke about the Dreamgirls dance we started last week and our teacher told us that we would be doing that for our performance as well so we went straight into learning some more of the dance we were told that we would still do the group pieces just at the beginning which was good as we worked hard to make them. as we were going though the dance i was really enjoying it, it was a dance that you just had to feel you couldn't just sit there you had to move. i really liked dancing to 'move' as i love Dreamgirls so much so it was nice dancing to a song from one of my favourite musicals.

Monday 25th September

project workshop
we started the lesson with our teacher putting us in pairs then we were told that we are going to be doing work in our pairs to tell a story we were given a sheet and it had a list of different relationships siblings, mother and child, strangers e.g and then a list of emotions/bonds destruction, plan e.g me and my partner decided to make our characters strangers and we were also prisoners and we were trying to plot our escape so we can can finally be free but then it end up with one of us getting shot. we then got up and tried to make our ideas come alive, we were then told by our teacher that we would need to make it more like dance/movement so we tried to make it more abstract, we then also decided to make a beat with our hands to show our heartbeats to show we are nervous to be where we are. nearing the end of the lesson we showed each other our pieces and it was good seeing other peoples work as we all came up with different things.

drama
at the beginning of the lesson we played a game where you have to move to the end of the class but you cant move at the same time as anyone else otherwise we all start again and we cant talk, at first i was confused because its a drama lesson but we are playing a game for little kids after we played we were then told that its for team work. we then went straight back into our Medea scripts and when we showed our pieces to recap what we did our teacher asked us to think of ways to improve it. our group decided to add freeze frames to make it more interesting and it would also help the audience understand the play a bit more. we decided to make the freeze frame Medea's husband leaving her for the younger woman. i think this really helped the piece look better and it explained it a bit more we then also added a bit where Medea and her kids rung through the stage.

ballet
Image result for ballet barwe started the lesson doing good toes and naughty toes we did this because we need to have pointed toes all the time during ballet. we then went to the bar and our teacher told us to face the bar and then we were told to lift the balls of our feet up one by one slowly then we got faster then we had to lift our feet of the floor completely and it was really fast after that we went back into doing the basic ballet routine i find doing ballet at my size very hard because it take a lot of self control and balance, the one thing i do like dong in ballet is rise, i like rising because i used to walk on my feet like that when i was a kid anyway. we then focused on the different positions for ballet for our arms we did 1st to second 2x then 1st to 5th then 2nd 2x it was hard at first because i'm not used to ballet and i feel like my arms look weird.

project workshop
we started by going through the pieces we started doing in our last lesson, me and my partner were working on how to make our piece more like a dance but still trying to keep the story intact. it was surprisingly easy because instead of doing pedestrian things we just make it more abstract, we also were asked to add a bit of speech but me and my partner decided to only add one word because we wanted to people to focus on the dance rather then what we had to say. at the end of the lesson we again showed what we improved and i found what we did was actually good because we added a lot more and made it more accurate.

we had Pilates and we started by getting our mats out and then laying on them, we then did some leg lifts and then bringing our legs to our chest and doing our backward cycle which i find quite easy to do but then our teacher said that we had to point our toes so that was hard as i can't really do it. the lesson over all was really hard as it was two hours of intense workouts so i struggled a lot in the lesson.

jazz dance
to start the lesson we did a workout to warm our bodies up and then we went straight into learning the dance again we learned that we would e dancing to a song called 'have mercy' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uImvs9X9duY) i really liked the song as it really went with the dance we were doing. learning the dance was really fun as i haven't really learnt dances in the past but then learning this dance was good. we started in lines and we went though the dance then our teacher kept on swapping the lines so she could see what each student was doing and if we understood.

musical theatre workshop
we started by going thought the pieces of paper we did last week, then we went into the pairs we were with and we spoke about if we were able to do the goals we said we would. i told my partner that i walked to and from school for a week, she was really happy that i did what i did. the rest of the lesson we learned more of move. and then we filmed it so we could upload it to blog. i really liked learning dance because its upbeat and fun.

Monday 2nd October

project workshop
to start the lesson people started to go through our pieces but unfortunately my partners wasn't in so my teacher told me to work on where to put my text so that the rest of the class know when to come in and say the text for me and my partner, me and another student were then told that we had to make a new piece about how our character feels about being independent so we had to try and find a way to link our pieces together. so we sat down and she told me her character is addicted to drugs, so what we decided to do was i wrote a monologue about how my character is free and how he likes being independent and my new partner would dance around me and do leaps explaining what i'm saying through dance. and then we would go into her side of the story but we only managed to do my story at first we then were asked to show what we were doing to the rest of the class as they would have to do this next after their partner work.

drama
in our drama lesson we started by playing some fun little games to warm us up we then the first one we played was we all stood in a line and we had to move across the room without moving with someone else and if you did you had to start all over again, we then played a game called heads down thumbs up which i was confused about as its a game kids play we then finished the warm up by playing a game where everyone sits in chair except one person then the people who are sitting down have to swap seats with each other and the person in the middle has to steal a chair. after we warmed up we spent the whole lesson running through our Medea piece and just trying to pick out all the bits where there were flaws. we also added a lot more in for example when we go into freeze frames instead of just walking back to your places we made it so they go back in a transition where they are all saying a line continuously until they get back into their places.Related image

ballet
we started the lesson by going to the bar and slowly lifting our feet one by one off the floor then when our teacher put on music we had to do it faster, she then called out things like 'high knees', 'feet to the back' and punches. it was really hard for me as the music was going really fast and i kept having to stop because my feet were starting to hurt. we then went back to all of the routines we were doing we started doing more full pleas instead of demi-pleas my favourite thing so far to do in ballet is a thing called smileys it is when you do a raise for a long time but i like it because when i was a kids i used to do things like that at home. we then ended by learning how to travel around the room with the basic steps our teacher gave us. and then we bowed the correct way

project workshop
our teacher started by giving the class the same task she had given me and my partner last lesson, so all of the class were working with new people or by themselves to make a completely new piece. we and my partner spent the lesson talking about what she wanted to do for her piece and then we got up and started making the bases of her piece. we then did a bit of research and i found this pictureImage result for my boyfriend got me addicted to drugs

i thought this could help as it is about how her boyfriend got her addicted to drugs and the opening line she says is "I've never been addicted to anything and then i met you" we used the picture to help us make the dance/story more clear.

to start the lesson we were told that we were going to be in the musical theatre 2nd years workout video. we started by learning  a bit of the video two girls had started to compose. we were also told we would have to dress up like we were in the 80's. we then were showed the steps we will be doing for the first section of the workout video and it was really hard as we had to do an intense workout for two songs none stop. we were then told that we would have to do it for a whole hour so that made it even hard as i was struggling with only 7 minutes how am i going to cope doing for an hour non-stop.

jazz dance
we spent the lesson mixed with the drama students because our usually teacher was running late but we still needed to practice and use the time effectively. we started by doing some vocal and physical warm ups, we did tongue twisters and projection warm ups. after we warmed up our voices and bodies we were asked to fund a partner in the opposite class we were then told to play a game where you both have to tell each other stories at the same time but you have to remember what your partner said so you had to speak none stop and listen at the same time. we then were told to make a short performance about our journey to college so me and my partner started by explaining how we got to college and then we merged both of our stories together and then we decided to sing Amy Whinehouse's Valerie to help the transitions flow more. we then showed each other our pieces. we then were given ten minutes to go through our pieces in our different classes so we could show them to the other class. we danced to move and the feed back we got was really positive which was good to hear because we worked really hard to make the dancing look nice. we then watched them perform some of their piece which was romeo and Juliet, it was fun to see how they had made it into their own.

musical theatre workshop
we started the lesson by doing a workout to warm us up but then we went straight into practising our dances and we ran though them a couple of time each and then we worked on the formation and our teacher told us where to stand for both performances. there's a part at the beginning of move where we go into our threes and do a little sob story and we practised how we would come in and how we would start. we then worked on our group pieces where we made up the beginning of the dance so everyone was doing different dances which was cool as you got to see all the different dances people came up with. when we moved onto the jazz dance we did the same thing we did for move we worked on how we entered and exited and how we should stand. some people were still having trouble with the dance which at first was worrying but by the end they had it

Monday 9th October

project workshop
we had to come in really early so we could tech run our performances we started by going through everything without sound or light so we could know where everything is. When we started doing the tech run we began with Medea and it took a while to get it right as people kept on forgetting ques and their lines which was concerning as we only had two more days until the performance. when we asked our other class mates what they though they said that they did not understand what was going on, this was upsetting as if they did not understand how were we supposed to make a whole audience of people get what we were doing. we then did the jazz dance which went really smoothly as we all had been practising and it was even betting hearing the music though big speakers and having the lights as well. we then did move which was my favourite and it was again really cool to see what it looks like with all the lights. lastly we did Shelley's piece and it took a while because we had to light everyone's different little dances.

Tuesday 10 October

drama
we started by doing some vocal warm up exercises this will help us project our voices and articulate our words so the audience can hear and understand everything we say.  we then went straight into going though our piece over and over again, we told our teacher that when we showed it to our other class mates that they said they did not understand what was going on and we then started thinking of ways to make it more clear what the scene is about. we then decided to make it slower and to make everything we say more bold so the audience could feel our presents.

ballet
to begin the lesson we did our normal ballet dances and then half way through we showed our ballet teacher what we were going to be doing the next day

Wednesday 11th October

day of the performance
we spent the first part of the dance practising all of the different thing we had to perform for the day and we started to get nervous as some people didn't know where they were or what they were doing which was worrying as in a couple of hour we had to perform. watching all of the other performances was fun as it gave us a chance to see what all the other courses where doing and when we performed the audience was really supportive, i was happy at the end because seeing everyone's faces smiling and happy shows that all of our hard work paid of.

evaluation.

Musical theatre level 3, I thought all of our pieces went very well, it was really fun being the group that showed the most pieces because it showed that we have so much to offer, that musical theatre isn’t always what you think it will be. To prepare for the pieces we had to stay behind and do a lot of overtime to rehearse.

For the jazz piece we spent a lot of time in our lessons learning new steps and movements which was hard at first as I’m not used to having to learn so many steps. When we first started to learn the dance the first section was easy as it was something we had practised in a warm up once so we already knew what we were doing, this helped a lot because we already knew what we were doing all we had to do was sharpen it up to make it look even more perfect. When we started adding more and more on the piece it got a bit hard to keep up with because when we were learning the dances step by step it was slow but then she put the music on and suddenly the movements were faster even though it’s a slow song. We also used to rehearse in any place we wanted so when we got positioned it was even harder to do the steps as we were now standing in somewhere different to how we were rehearsing, when we were rehearsing we always did it in sections so when it came to doing it all it was hard as I sometimes would forget what I was doing. A strength I have for this performance is that I think I did really well in remembering the steps and as a group it all looked in time however, a weakness is that I wanted to have more stage presence but I didn’t know how to do it because the song is slow and sad but I didn’t want to look depressed on stage but then I also couldn’t smile.

We then had to learn a lot for musical theatre but I found that less hard as it was more of a fast upbeat song and plus I used to love the musical dream girls. During rehearsals it was fun learning the move dance because it started out from us just messing around pretending to be on x-factor and making up dances to the first verse to then having a huge performance with a whole dance. After we learned the first part of the dance we then started on the chorus at first I didn’t really like the dance because we were doing without music so I didn’t understand where everything was going to end up, the steps were also really bounce and feminine for example there was a part where we did a hair flip and I thought I looked really dumb because I don’t have much hair. A stand out moment for me was when we did the x-factor auditions because the audience found them funny and it went with the song. The strengths of learning the dances for jazz and musical theatre was that in the end it looked amazing both of them were so well choreographed, but there were also a lot of weaknesses like of the show when we rehearsed for the last time it looked really bad so we started freaking out as it wasn’t ready. Another weakness is that not everyone’s energy was up so it looked like they didn’t want to be there this was bad because it’s a upbeat song and the whole point is that we are pretending we are in a talent show so we would have to be happy.

For the ‘lean on me’ piece it was easier to remember because we made the pieces ourselves and we had been doing it for a while so it was a good way to practice. To begin with making these pieces we were put in group and we were given pieces of paper about refigures so when me and my partner got to working it was really easy as we both researched what it is people go thought and we wanted to put that into our dance/movement piece. During rehearsals my partner and I had so many different ideas that it was hard to put them all in one piece. We then got given different movements for the transition which was hard as first because we were all in one big cluster and we had to move together it also took me a while to get used to what we were doing and I could not stand still for that long. Another thing we did in practise is we were given the task to make solos/duets about how our character feels about being free or independent. A weakness for that piece was that it was a bit too long and I don’t think I put as much energy as I could have  a strength was that we all kept neutral during the transitions and I was really proud that I was able to stay still for that long.

For Medea I think the rehearsing was easiest because we were given a script so all we had to was put our own idea in it. During the time we had to practise the script was very hard and confusing as our teacher split us into groups and both groups came up with something completely different ideas and then she wanted us to run both of the scenes at the same time. This was confusing for me as I didn’t think it made much sense to anyone why both of the scenes where playing at the same time. However ion the end we collided the pieces in a way that made scene to the audience. A weakness I have for myself is that I could have tried to do more with my character even though I had no lines I could have portrayed a child a bit more with the movements I was doing. A strength I have is that we all worked really hard and it paid off in the end I think the end result was better then I thought it would be

In the final performance I think we all did an amazing show it was so good being able to show the college what we had been doing. As a group as well we worked great we were always in perfect unison and I think it helped us all bond. My favourite part was when we did the x-factor auditions as it was funny how it was two serious auditions and then our one was funny, and it got the audience attention before we did the big dance. My personal weakness is I messed up a couple of times but I’m happy that I didn’t get too upset about doing it wrong, but something I’m proud of is when we were doing the movement piece I was really focused on not moving. Overall I thought our piece was really good and by the end we were all happy as we felt accomplished and proud of what we had done

Both of the drama pieces were very good but at the same time very different, the level 2 acting did a devised play about how different people have different identities. They started by posing for family pictures and it was supposed to be ‘a perfect family’ which i thought was very powerful as it shows that not everything is how it seems. Then they continued by standing in a line but then they came out one by one which I thought was very good as it gave you a chance to see all the actors and it worked much better than if they were to go on and off stage. The group was big but it was very entertaining watching the different scenes. The strengths that they had were the whole piece flowed/linked and also the energy was high throughout the whole of the piece which is good as to keep your audience engaged in a performance you have to have high level energy. One weakness I have is that some of the people who were standing in the background weren’t still so it took the focus of the people on stage. A stand out moment from the level 2 drama piece was when the three girls danced, the reason I liked the dance was because it was really well choreographed and it fitted with the rest of the scene and when they started dancing people in the audience where feeling it. The audience was a bunch of teens so I think they came up with a piece that really fitted with the age group they were performing for, as we are only young and we still have a long way to go, we don’t know our identities yet.

The level 3 drama performance was amazing it was so good to see how they made Romeo and Juliet their own. I have watched many different versions on Romeo and Juliet and the things I liked about theirs was when it started they had both families on either side and they looked like they were in a war so i thought that freeze frame was really strong and it gave a clear understanding that they hated each other. A strength I think they had was that they projected their voices amazingly it was so clear and you could feel the power behind their voices and it really made you feel connected to the characters. The only weakness I could think of was with some people the energy it went down and people at the back may have thought that since they were at the back they couldn’t be seen but as soon as you go on stage you are watched. My favourite part was when Romeo and Juliet kissed as it was so unexpected i thought they were going to fake kiss, it worked well with the audience as everyone was wooing and shouting. The audience members for both pieces were teens/young adults so Shakespeare is not something we really watch or read and many people in our age group find him quite boring but they kept us intrigued and interested.

The music performances were exceptional there was so many different types of styles/remakes and it showed that they can adjust songs to suit them rather them singing a song that doesn’t suit their voice. Both the level 2+3 music work well in the little groups which is important as they all need to be in sync because if not the sing wont sound right. I think one of the best strengths they had was their team work was really good and the support they have for each other, another strength they had was one of the groups sang a very famous song but they changed it into Spanish and it still worked well. A weakness I would have to say would be that there were a couple of people that messed up and I think it was because they were nervous but the up side to it was the audience was being really supportive. One moment that I really liked was when the three girls sang ‘on and on’ the reason I liked it was because they sang so amazingly and you could tell they were feeling the song. The audience was being really supportive when people messed up and the songs people were singing where like childhood songs for us so it was good to hear, they sang songs that we wanted to hear which would help with the audience response.

To conclude I think all of the performances went very well we all work hard and we all were very supportive members of the audience I can’t wait to see what everyone will do next.
